A brief history by someone unsure of his facts.
Reunions have been the lifeblood of our organization since 1985. Back then a
rag-tag collection of lonely brats was bemoaning the fact that it had been about
20 years since they had graduated from Bitburg American High School in Germany.
Terry Hill '67 (with her sisters and brothers) and Jane Nicola '68 thought it would be a good
idea to try to organize an impromptu little get together near their homes in Dallas.
They soon found Tony Alves '67 and Bernie Tibbetts '65.
As the small group began calling around looking for people, things began to snowball.
Soon dozens of brats were contacted and a short list kept growing.
Of the approximately 121 brats who were originally found, 110 showed up in Dallas
on the 4th of July weekend in 1985.
This original collection of classmates led to the beginning
of our association,
Bitburg High Alumni, Class Years 1963-1970.
